Mr. Yukio Yoneda
Neurotheanine Supervisor and Academic Advisor
Mr. Yukio Yoneda
After graduating from Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Osaka University in 1972, Dr. Yoneda completed a master's degree at the same university and became an assistant at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine in 1975.
After studying at City of Hope Medical Research Institute in the U.S. from 1980 to 1981, he returned to Japan and served as a lecturer at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, an assistant professor at Setsunan University Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and then as a professor at the same University. From 1999 to 2015, he served as a professor at the Laboratory of Pharmacognosy, Kanazawa University, where he devoted himself to enhancing pharmacological education and research.
During that time, he was consistently engaged in research to elucidate the mechanisms of regulation of biological functions by neuronal amino acids, and made great achievements in the investigation of their diversity.
